a quick scroll through the app store and amongst the long list of app updates suggested, you will find a consistent list of reasons for these new versions, commonly featuring: bug fixes and performance improvements.

what they’re saying is: the hardware isn’t faulty, the software just needs an update. you might have noticed glitches, hangups, misfires, etc. you’ve tried the ol’ turn-it-off, turn-it-back-on method. and you’re close to throwing your glitchy device across the room.
but wait. an update.

then once the blue ring works it’s way allllll the way around, ta da. updated.
fresh version - even better, full blown fresh operating system - and with it comes fresh features, smoother run time, cleaner processing, and various other performance enhancements.

i find that comforting.
the hardware isn’t faulty.
because i also find myself - and my wiring - glitchy and hung-up at times. the version that got me here isn’t bad, it’s just outdated now. i need a fresh upgrade, reboot to the system.

the software update allows for rethinking with new information and greater processing power.
working out the bugs.
reframing the circumstances.
identifying new features.

the hardware is set - facts and circumstances.
but the software can be re-written - the meanings i attach to the facts or stories i tell about my circumstances.
it’s not the facts that matter, it’s the stories we tell about them.
it’s not the raw materials, it’s the mindset we frame around them.

the new operating system wired in love and abundance moves in to replace the old operating system wired in fear and lack.
a weakness could be a malfunctioning strength.
a bug could be a feature.

i am prone to bugs, however, i have access to a higher version. higher thoughts. higher ways. but the system is in manual update mode. i have to search for the new version. i have to press update. often.

it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

and just when i think i’m nailing it…
look another update.
