raining
there’s still rain in the sun.
there’s still tears in the light.
but they’re gentle, saturating, nourishing.
hope in soluble form.
joy soaking through.
my soil is saturated,
and you’re still raining.
i’ve know the dry lands,
and you’re still reigning.
there’s an oil from pressing,
then drops from melting,
tears still tearing,
all while the son is shining.
light crashing through,
the weighty soaked branches,
leaves peeking and turning your way.
tenderness of a leaf,
taking oxygen,
still wet with rain,
exhaling your reign.
