hypothesis:
the quality and quantity of peace i carry now is directly correlated to the lens of my perception.

setting:
perception is a present tense exercise.

independent variables:
proximity affects my perception.
reception to a nearness invitation will change everything.
staying close to the one i follow will promote proper positioning.
proximity to a powerful presence will promote proper posture.
wholeness and holiness are localities far more than performances.

direction affects my perception.
perception choices: wide or narrow, forward or backward, high or low, dark or light.
where i orient my gaze and the lens i peer through, changes the picture i perceive.

invitation:
perceive that i am properly positioned,
prepared for what the present offers,
present to an open invitation to participate and partake.

methods: a perception inventory

there is purpose here, do i perceive it?
what if i daily believed that i was in the right place at the right time?

there is a pursuit here, do i perceive it?
goodness is coming after me, love wearing me down,
perfectly paced, stubbornly relentless,
effortlessly near, graciously thorough.

there is potential in the present, do i perceive it?
the pressing packs the potential into the present,
preparing for what is promised,
masterpieces in process.

there is a pouring here, do i perceive it?
pouring is a gift to receive and an invitation to participate.
i am always at some capacity to receive and some capacity to pour,
often the emptiest tank promotes the most potent pour.

partaking is an option here, do i perceive it?
abundance is available,
beauty waiting to be beheld,
something to taste and see.

there are promises at play here, do i perceive it?
plans and patterns drawn for a far bigger picture than me,
yet plans and patterns personalized perfectly for me.

experimental results:
peace, if i want it.
perhaps what i want to find, i will find.
my perceptions are perfectly dialed for that which i perceive.
my eyemask for the darkness, my sunglasses for the sun.
look for disappointment, fear, rejection - and i’m likely to find some.
dare to look for hope, faith, love - what if i find even more?

courageous conclusion:
the quality and quantity of peace i carry now is directly correlated to the lens of my perception.
