humble and low

humble and low i know.
gentle and hidden is how you sow.
cast and stand,
at the proper time, in toiled row.

the weight of soil breaks,
for the warm piercing light.
the ground shifts and quakes,
as these new roots hold tight.
in this glory i get to partake,
little faith of this seed’s might.
in this dirt, the beauty you make,
while this seedling wobbles,
the tree, clear in your sight.

humble and low, you show,
gentle and hidden, how you grow,
at last, to stand,
until in splendor, you clothe.
