echoes in the cave, 12
i hear the sound of a bird…
you’ve found me.
you’ve come.
you’ve been coming,
chasing me down.
you’re with me even here.
i see the wings of the bird…
just as i see a cloud.
you’re lifting my head again.
i’m undone,
you’re making a way through.
now descends the bird…
towards me.
for me.
the author and finisher.
right on time,
when i could do nothing
on my own.
i mount up on wings,
of this bird…
you’ve rescued me.
you’ve plucked me out.
you’ve delivered me.
we’re not going back,
just getting started.
now from flight i see…
all the times you’ve rescued before,
delivered before,
and come for me below.
when i felt i slid,
or helplessly hid,
all the times you passed me by,
and also never did.
